Le 17 juillet 2014 un homme s’appelle Eric Garner était appréhendé pour être
accusé vendres cigarettes illégalement. Pour le crime, les polices ont encerclé lui et il se résister, une police a saisi lui par le cou et commence suffocation lui. Il a dit “I can’t breathe” et il a aller l’hôpital, mais sur le chemin de l'hôpital il a eu une arrêt du cœur, et il mort. La police, Daniel Pantaleo, que tuer monsieur Garner n’était pas apprehendé ou puni par le grand jury. Les gens etaient furieux, et commence protestataire. Pantaleo a dit c’était “It was never my intention to harm anyone. I feel very bad about the death of Mr. Garner. My family and I include him and his family in our prayers and I hope that they will accept my personal condolences for their loss."
